The 1-day event featured panelists from Bloomberg Business, Axios, Essence, Spectrum News, and The Grio, who addressed the transformation of media from traditional to digital, effective political reporting, and how to protect black women in the context of the #MeToo movement. NABJ President Sarah Glover delivered the welcoming remarks and hosted a president’s panel, followed by an informal “chat & chew” session with the attendees during lunch. The session focused on the opportunities that NABJ can provide to millennials, who currently make up a significant portion of the organization’s membership.
