An experienced media executive, Keith Clinkscales serves as CEO of the sports news organization Shadow League Digital (SLD). Previously a producer at ESPN, Keith Clinkscales was responsible for providing creative direction for well-known broadcasts like the X Games and ESPY Awards.
A highly anticipated event that celebrates athletic accomplishments, the most recent ESPY Awards took place in July 2019 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by actor and comedian Tracy Morgan, the event included appearances from ESPY Award nominees like tennis star Serena Williams, golf icon Tiger Woods, Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant, and Saints quarterback Drew Brees, among others.
During the ceremony, Ms. Williams was honored with the best female tennis player of the year award. Members of the U.S. women’s national soccer team, who recently won the World Cup championship, received the award for best U.S. team across all leagues. The best male athlete award went to Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, and the best female athlete award went to Alex Morgan of the U.S. women’s national soccer team.
