Sam Mewis Voted As the Best Women’s Soccer Player in ESPN FC Poll

An accomplished media executive, Keith Clinkscales is the chief executive officer of Shadow League Digital, which provides sports news coverage with a cultural basis. Previously, Keith Clinkscales served as the senior vice president of content development and enterprises at ESPN, which offers the program ESPN FC on its streaming service.

Launched in 1995, ESPN FC delivers year-round soccer news. In March 2021, ESPN FC conducted a poll in which Manchester City midfielder and American World Cup winner Sam Mewis was voted as the Best Women’s Player. The results of this survey are based on opinions from different women’s soccer experts. They believe her energy and technical qualities were vital during the 2020 Women’s FA Cup. Mewis expressed her excitement regarding the honor. In her speech, she added that her success would have been elusive without her teammates.

Mewis was also included among the top five players in the FA Women’s Super league. Teammate Lucy Bronze made the top five list, too.
